Resources To Avoid Internet Scams In Oklahoma

When an online offer seems too good to be true, it probably isn't true. It could just be a scam. Oklahoma's Attorney General, Drew Edmonson warned Oklahoma residents to protect their money online throughout the holiday season as well as throughout the year. The Internet is an easy resource for those wanting to scam people out of money.

Attorney General Drew Edmonson had several tips to help those who want to shop online safely. One tip is to only do business with companies that are reputable. Your credit card number and other personal information are important resources that Internet scammers can use to harm you. Keep those away from websites and people online who you do not trust. Make sure you are also aware of the company's privacy policy. Are people other than that company going to be able to get access to your personal resources like your credit card information or your home address?
